2-Day Course – 8th and 9th December
During this period, men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and accessories were often embroidered with white, the detail emphasised by the monochrome palette. Intricate stitches could be worked as borders, or over an entire garment accentuating the transparency of the ground fabric. Using the School’s, and the Hopkins extensive collection of whitework as a study, students will work examples of the many varied techniques.
