2 Day course 13th & 14th January
Many garments and accessories were embroidered, embellishing the ground fabric with many different stitches in a variety of threads. Students will learn a range of these techniques including counted thread work, buttonhole stitches and couching with metal threads, and how they were adapted to suit the changing fashions throughout this period.
The School’s and the Hopkins collection of embroideries from these dates will be available to study.
