Product Description

2-Day Course – 10th & 11th February

A brief glimpse of the dramatic changes in men’s leg wear over the course of 400 years. From tight fitted separate leg wear to enormously stuffed trunk hose; flamboyant petticoat breeches to the tight-fitted pantaloons worn by the “sans culottes” during the French revolution. The development of the shape of hose will be explored using patterns  of historical examples.

Students will draft a fitted hose from ca. 1550.

Tutor – Melanie Braun
