This is the 1st edition of the 5th volume in Janet Arnold’s Patterns of Fashion series, and is being published by The School of Historical Dress, the residual legatees of Janet Arnold. Co-authored by Janet Arnold, Jenny Tiramani, Luca Costigliolo, Sebastien Passot, Armelle Lucas and Johannes Pietsch, the book features patterns for 26 pairs of bodies and stays, 2 busks, a stomacher, 10 hoops, a farthingale and a rump. There are 160 pages in full colour, including the patterns.

Please note that we aim to send books within 5 working days from the date of the order but we do cannot post orders everyday as there is no permanent staff at the School. Exceptional delays might occur in case of events happening at the School or at the time of a new book release.

Due to weight limits with Royal Mail, you cannot order more than 3 books at a time for International orders (7 books maximum in the UK) and no shipping options will be available if you do. Please place multiple orders for more books (no change in postage costs).

Please note that any books to Canada will have to be purchased individually  and sent separately at no surcharge due to weight limits of 2 kg per parcel.

We are currently working on a solution to this issue but it won’t be implemented until the New Year.
