This publication is the latest volume in the ‘Patterns of Fashion’ series.  Patterns of Fashion 6 has 172 pages, with full colour images of the garments and scale patterns in colour. The patterns include those for 28 gowns, 15 petticoats, 8 stomachers, 2 hats and various accessories.  All these patterns are presented on a grid for measurements to be taken from them by imperial and metric systems. A scale measuring card is included in each package with the book/s ordered.

This book is recommended for all those with an interest in historical dress, including students of costume for theatre, film and television, museum curators and conservators, living history interpreters, and academics studying women’s 18th century dress worn in the western world.

Please note that we aim to send books within 5 working days from the date of the order but we do cannot post orders everyday as there is no permanent staff at the School. Exceptional delays might occur in case of events happening at the School or at the time of a new book release.

Due to weight limits of 5 kg with Royal Mail, you cannot order more than 3 books at a time for International orders (7 books maximum in the UK) and no shipping options will be available if you do. Please place multiple orders for more books (no change in postage costs).

Please note that any books to Canada will have to be purchased individually  and sent separately at no surcharge due to weight limits of 2 kg per parcel.

We are currently working on a solution to this issue but it won’t be implemented until the New Year.
